Javanese broad machete, worn by nobles at the court to show their submission to the sultan as they are ready to crop for him or to do humble works such as cutting shrubs. The blade has a beautiful Pari Sawuli Pamor and the grip is in ivory. Wooden scabbard and the traditional graceful horn hook. GL 41 cm. BL 21 cm. 19th C. (15730)
